Shipper/Display Set Up- Parent Link is having duplicate child links

I am trying to set up a shipper/display that has a different configuration from another shipper/display that already exists in 1WS. The new shipper has 36 units vs the existing shipper has 18 units.

Since I checked that this new shipper is not a "Base Unit" in the hierarchy I had to create the Hierarchy associated with that shipper i.e. what trade items are found in the display. However, when I attempted to do this I got an error message that said that the "Parent Link (the new shipper) has duplicate child links" (because they are already associated with the existing shipper in 1WS). Both displays contain similar trade items just in different quantities. What is the best way to go about this? Should I just indicate that this is the "Base Unit" in the hierarchy? I would like to keep both displays as we have retailers that are trying to order both.

Hello @Tguild I just took a look this morning and see the same hierarchy link number for you.  I recommend you remove the Each from the Case and then re-add it with the matching value for your qty next levels on the Case, then validate your hierarchy.  That should clean it up for you.

When I try to link items to my shipper the hierarchy will not update and i am getting this error message: This link cannot be created as one or more of the items have already been published.  How do I fix?

@slowry

Hello and Welcome back to our online community! One of your products is currently published which means you will need to delete the existing publications and wait for the 25-hour deletion to process.

I have added a link to our linking quick sheet.

I'm also having the same issue.

I'm having the same issues, and have gone through the community forum over the past few days trying everything. I still can't get this error to resolve. Please help! I email support on Friday as well.

Whether I include the case level or not, I still get the same validation errors on the display hierarchy - not the individual items. If I don't have the case, the display returns an issue regarding quantity. Tried all that - still issue on the hierarchy update. When I add the case level, then I get the "duplicate" issue. Please assist! Thanks.

Hell @dmarsh, welcome to the Community. I checked the current setup in Item Management for this Display and everything is currently validating with the Display and 2 Each configuration.

If you want to add in the Case level and everything is correct in the screenshot provided the attribute Total Count of All Products would be:

Display level - 4 - meaning there are 4 cases in the display

Case level - 12 - meaning there are 12 eaches in every case

Each level - 1 - we always be 1 for the lowest level item in the hierarchy

Thank you, Justin. However, I'm still having the same issues with this.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Hello @dmarsh, please link your products to each other one by one to ensure something isn't already linked.

I've verified and your Each products are already linked to your Cases, the only thing you would need to do is to link the Cases to your Display. I've attached the documentation on how to link and I believe step 4 is where you would find the guidance that you need to link your hierarchy: https://community.1worldsync.com/t5/IM-Quick-Sheets/How-to-LINK-Products-in-Item-Management-Quick-Sh...

After looking at your Display and the links from the image above, Total Count of All Products * for your Display would actually be 4 as JustinW mentioned above, as your display contains a total of 4 Cases. Thank you!

@Julie @JustinW Hello, I was able to successfully validate the hierarchy. However, when I went to publish to my partners it returned the following error message again:

dmarsh_0-1709580061344.png

Based on the link heirarchy, should the Display state a total count of 4 each/case (2 cases of one, and 2 cases of another). Or should it state a total count of 48 each/units (24 of one type, and 24 of the other)?

Please assist. Thank you again.

@dmarsh, please update the attribute "Total Count of All Products *" for your Display to 4 as your display contains a total of 4 Cases. Thank you!
