Advising a customer to subscribe to our account.

How do we as the data provider instruct a trading partner to subscribe to our GLN?   are there instructions I can pass along?   They just state they are on 1WS but not understanding we need them as a subscriber before we can publish product data to them.

Hello @DawnVanWychen and thank you for reaching out to us again.  I apologize for the delayed response.  For now, on the 1WS website, you can access THIS PAGE to see the trading partners who have landing pages with us.  Each of those pages has Implementation Guides and a form you can fill out to request a subscription from your trading partner.  Some partners prescribe by Target Market so you may already have a subscription.  You can see this in IM in the Reports area.

Targeted subscriptions are when a trading partner subscribes directly to you with your GLN, GTIN, etc.  A General subscription is when they subscribe to a larger group like Target Market U.S. (i.e. Kroger).

Hi, okay.  But what about those customers who do not have a landing page at all?  Some have been in contact with us and when I explain they need to "subscribe" they don't understand.  Is there a defined process for them to subscribe you can attach here?

Hello @DawnVanWychen and thanks for your response.  Can you tell me who these trading partners are?  Most have an Implementation Guide as a standard best practice.

Hi, it is Wegmans.  They do not have a landing page that I can find on 1WS site.  They say they do not know how to "subscribe" to our GLN account.  I need instructions to give them.

Hello, @DawnVanWychen please see the Wegmans landing page including THIS Link on how to get started with them.

Wegmans subscribes by Target Market US so any item you publish to them with that same Target Market will be received on their end.

Hi, may I ask what happens in the case that the trading partner does not have a landing page with 1WorldSync? Is there any way to have the trading partner subscribe to our GLN or do they need to get set up with 1WorldSync first? 

I am trying to get my head around how to have our trading partners subscribe to our GLN, but in some cases they do not have a landing page with 1WS.

Please advise.

Hello @MinhLamAroa and welcome to the customer community.  Thanks for reaching out. Can you give me the name of the trading partner and their GLN is you have it so I can take a look for you?

1WS is one of a few GDSN data pools and although many use us, some use other data pools as well.  If you tell me who you are looking for we can take a look to see if they are part of the GDSN.

My apologies, for clarification I do not have an example name for the trading partner and their GLN as my question is regarding the subscription/onboarding process for a new trading partner. 

For example, a new trading partner looking to subscribe to our GLN to see our data, but they are not part of the 1WS data pool, nor any other GDSN data pools. 

I want to create a defined process for new trading partners on how to subscribe to our dataset if they have not yet been set up with a GDSN data pool. Would you have any instructions on how to do this? and what would be required for the trading partner to subscribe to our GLN/dataset?

Hello @MinhLamAroa and thanks for reaching out via the customer community.  The subscription process is unique to GDSN and to do so, the recipient must utilize a certified data pool, like 1WS, to send and receive GDSN standardized transactions.  The subscription process enables them to receive publications form their trading partners based on the criteria they define.  if they are not in GDSN they do not have a way to do so...
