Page ID: Unique product identifier (determined by you) that PowerReviews uses to map customer reviews to the right products. 

Partial Network Syndication: Review content will be shared once permission (from the brand or retailer) has been granted, then as product matches are found. 

Page ID Variant: Unique product identifier (determined by you) for products that come in different variations.

PDP: Product Detail Page.

PDP Site Analytics: The analytics section in the portal that provides an in-depth look at how your visitors interact with the user-generated content (UGC) on your website and how they subsequently convert. 

PLP: Product Listing Page.

PowerReviews Portal: Client platform that houses all reporting, moderation, and UGC content.

PowerSocial: Suite that enables brands and retailers to easily collect, manage, and display UGC (user-generated content) from Instagram on their websites (i.e., Image Gallery on the PDP, homepage, category page). Also known as Social Curation.

Pre-Project Kickoff: An Internal call with the presales and implementation team to cover the implementation scope of work and clarify any questions, if necessary. Must include the salesperson, Sales Engineer, IPM, and TIC.

Product Sentiment Analytics: Analytics section in the portal used to understand how consumers feel about products and gain insights on what’s important to consumers.

Project Kickoff: An external call with the presales, implementation team, and client team to walk through the implementation scope of work, and hand off the client to the team for onboarding.

 

Q

Questions & Answers (Q&A): Feature that allows customers to ask product questions directly on PDPs and get answers from brand SMEs or other customers, to remove any purchase-blockers.

Retailer: A business that buys goods from wholesalers or producers and sells them directly to consumers in small quantities (i.e. Target, Walmart).

Review Display: The display of collected UGC on a brand/retailer’s PDP.

Review Display Provider: A Vendor that collects and displays ratings & reviews for a brand/retailer. 

Review Snapshot: A summary of all collected reviews and aggregates data points such as the number of product reviews, the average star rating for the product, Pros, Cons, and Best Uses. 

Review Snippet: Basic summary information above the fold such as the average star rating, the number of overall reviews, and a Write-a-Review link. The snippet functions as a jump link to the Review Display below the fold. 

Review Translation: Feature of removing language barriers and allowing customers to translate reviews into their preferred language on demand with a single click.

Sampling: Incentivized review collection (and review disclosure code), where reviewers receive product for free in exchange for a review. Also known as content acceleration. 

Scoping: An implementation overview call about client customization considerations/options, or about a syndication walkthrough to be confirmed for implementation. Always done presales after a discovery call and/or demo.

SEO: Search Engine Optimization. Allows product ratings to be used to increase Google Search rankings.

Share to Amazon: Feature that allows reviewers to also submit a review directly to Amazon.

Site Add: The process of adding a new website to a client’s existing PowerReviews portfolio. 

Site Migration: The process of moving a website from one e-commerce platform to another (i.e., Shopify to WooCommerce). 

Syndication: The sharing of reviews from one destination to another. Can be brand site to retailer site, or brand site 1 to brand site 2.

Technical Implementation Consultant (TIC): The technical-side point of contact during the implementation phase.

TS/TSS: Technical Support/Technical Support Specialist.

UGC: User Generated Content that would be submitted in a write a review form. Includes ratings, reviews, images, & videos.

 

W

Write a Review (WAR) Form: A fully responsive form that captures customer reviews, including images and videos.
