Will we receive notification when the migration is complete?

Yes, our team will be in contact with you throughout the migration process. You’ll receive communication once your migration from IM to Kroger VIP is complete.

Once PI is sunset, any New items need to be set up in Item Management as a New Item  Add.  Any type of updates to an existing item need to go into Item Management in Item Maintenance?

Yes, correct. Once PI is phased out, all new item setups will be done in Item Management as a New Item  Add, and any updates to existing items will be handled through Item Management  Item Maintenance Update.

Once vendors begin granting broker access to Item Management, will there be a single login covering all vendors that the brokers manage, or will each vendor require a unique login?

Each GLN will require a unique login.  This access process will not change as part of the API.

We have a list of items that were created in VIP without being registered in GDSN.  Subsequently, those items were created in IM, registered in GDSN, and published to Kroger.  We have some duplicates in Kroger VIP:  GDSN and Non-GDSN.  The Non-GDSN is not updated.  How can we ensure the migration will use the GDSN and NOT the non-GDSN list?

When you sign up for the migration, you will want to ensure to mention you only want the GDSN items migrated.

Is the Kroger playlist available in PrePROD to test a few items to see if they meet the criteria to pass QA in PROD?

No, there is no need to test in PreProd. That is why we have the QA GLN, as we have a team checking the data quality before you publish to the actual Kroger LIVE GLN. The Kroger playlist is available in PreProd, but we will not put your migrated data from kroger vip into preprod.

If we migrate the data over to Item Management, what happens to the information currently in Item Management?  Does it override that info?

The data being migrated pertains to Kroger's top-off information, which will be linked to the Kroger playlist. Since your data was originally synced from Item Management, there should be no data override.

Hi team,

Please advise:

I started to test one our GTIN in API and it was in the process, when the migration of all our other GTINs began. I assume that I have to adjust all other GTINs as per Kroger Playlist requirements and to fix the items as per the API instructions provided.

Shall i wait until I get the message about migration completion or can I do the adjustments now, when the process is on its way? Will it not interfere with the migration?

Thanks!

Hello @Kateryna, thank you for continuing the use of our customer community and thank you for the great question. This will likely come up as a question from other companies as well.

Once you receive the message about the migration starting, we recommend to no longer update your Kroger items in Product Introduction as they will be moved into Item Management.

The items that were already previously synced from Product Introduction with Kroger do not need to be updated and resubmitted to Kroger, unless you have outdated information on existing items and want to provide updates for item changes. On the other hand, if items were set up in Product Introduction but not synchronised with Kroger at any point, these are still going to be considered New item setups for Kroger and need to be submitted as such.

The migration process usually takes from a few hours to a day. If you have an item in Item Management for Kroger and the same item has not been added in Product Introduction yet, you can work on that item in the meantime as the migration only affects items added in PI (that will be now transferred into IM).

Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi Val_P,

Thank you very much for the detailed answer! Everything seems to be clear now.

My only concern is that it's the 5th day of migration now... so it takes more than a couple of days..

Thank you.

Good morning @CommunityJedi22,

We were notified our migration started around 8/20, we have a new item starting to ship on 9/24 and Harris Teeter asked us to setup. I setup and submitted to them and they are asking for an update on the IMF. How can I get this item through this process so the customer can take the item they are requesting?

Hello @AJ, thank you for continuing the use of the customer community and welcome back.

I checked the migration status for you and it still seems to be in progress. I have also reached out to my colleagues to make sure this is completed successfully and we will be keeping you updated through the already opened migration ticket (CXPRSV-9487) in our systems.

We appreciate your time and patience while working through this process. Thank you.

Thank you @Val_P is there a way to have the IMF issued and setup for our customer while the migration is in process? Customer is asking for an update

Hello @AJ, thank you for your time while taking care of the request.

If the item was submitted via Product Introduction, then you will need to check Kroger's comments in VIP to see if it was approved before the data was published to the Kroger Certified GLN? If it is a new item and not approved, it can be fully submitted through the Kroger API process as New. If you can help us with the GTIN or item number, we are able to check your specific case, please.

You can find the more information and documentation for the new process here, please: 1WorldSync Kroger Item API

Thanks!

Hi, @AJ,

Thank you for sending us the GTIN information.

We can confirm that this item was published successfully to the Kroger API Certification GLN and is in the processing queue, waiting for a CIC message. When received, a Synchronised or Reject CIC can be confirmed using the Sync Status report under REPORTS.

For more information on the next steps, once the item review is over, we recommend the following guide:

Good afternoon, I began receiving IMF approvals and confirmation of processing for some items previously setup with Roundy's.

Could you please review GTIN is 00071279573915 and confirm it has been published to 0838016000123 Kroger API Certification Queue?

My Category Manager and Sales team are getting a bit anxious since this item is slated to start shipping in two days.

Thank you

Hello, @AJ, and welcome back!

The publication for 00071279573915 was rejected. Please access the Sync Status report under REPORTS to check the current status of the publication and to see the REJECT CIC error messages (by either clicking the arrow to expand this report or the CIC Detail hyperlink to open the Recipient Responses CIC report for this GTIN).

Please review the item's data according to the error messages and Kroger's PDP Style Guide Standards, then resend the item to the certification queue using REPUBLISH as NEW.

We recommend these resources for more information on the PDP Style Guide:

Steps on how to REPUBLISH an item can be found HERE, when needed.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

I'm sorry to ask so many questions, but I don't understand why the item is being rejected. We haven't included trademark notations before, is this a new requirement?

  • The data received was not as expected and needs reviewed for update - (1) This item does not meet Kroger's PDP Style Guide Standards [https://1worldsync.com/kroger-style-guide]. Quick tips - · "Brand Name" - match packaging and include applicable trademarks (Eg. "Fresh Express®") · "Product Description" - follow format [Brand Name (with ™/®)][Special Attribute][Variable][Product Name] (Eg. "Fresh Express® Mediterranean Herb Chopped Salad Kit") · "Feature Benefits" - provide 5-7 bullet points about product - no ending punctuation (2) Once corrected, REPUBLISH this item as NEW for final QA review.

Thank you for reaching out to our customer community.  Welcome.

There are different requirements when publishing to Kroger via API rather than to Kroger VIP.

Thank you @DanV and @ana_neamtu for your help today. I'm crossing my fingers on this republish for an acceptance this time.

Hi Team,

please advise what should be done in case when the items published to Kroger API Certification Queue have the review status with the comments (pls see below). The recommended min.orderable q-ty has been indacated, but still the comments haven't disappeared.

The items are published to many customers and only Kroger have such a min.order q-ty, so it's indicated for them only.

thank you.

Hello, @Kateryna, and thank you for reaching out.

As I checked our items for GTIN 00773479020038/ 00773479404036/ 00773479364927, the items failed to send the update. You had the Minimum Orderable Quantity added, but to the left under the retailer-specific field, you have the GLN for the GLN 0838016000116 Certified Items for Kroger API, meaning that only that GLN/Retailer can see it, and for the GLN 0838016000123, the Kroger API Certification Queue is not visible, so it failed to send.
To fix it, you would need to set the field to 'ALL', save the item, and then wait for the update.

Let us know if further questions arise.

Thank you.

Hello George,

Thank you!

I did as recommended. Will see when it updates.

My concern is how to let only Kroger know about the Min. Orderable Q-ty? As only Kroger can be shared with this information. Other trading partners are not supposed to have it.

Is it possible after the update to switch to "Kroger GLN" again instead of "ALL"?

Thank you!

Hello @Kateryna and thank you for reaching out.

If you want to make those attributes visible only for Roger, you need to add both the Certified and Certification Queue Kroger API GLN. This will ensure that they are visible during both steps when publishing to the Kroger API.

Hi Theo,

Oh, I see where my mistake was🙄 I have added one by one Kroger's GLNs and not both at once.

Now it should be fine. I have re-adjusted the min order to be visible to both GTINs. Will see how it works now.

Appreciate your assistance !

Hello @AJ, it’s good chatting with you again. Thanks for the follow-up.

The easiest way to go about solving Review/Reject messages from your retailers is to make sure you understand what is being asked or pointed out, then updating the information on your item(s) and, in this specific case, also Republishing the item as New from Publications - Manage Publications after completing the changes to make sure the updated information is reviewed.

(1) (a)  "Brand Name" - Note that the brand name displays on the packaging image as Fresh Express®. Please determine which trademark (™ or ®) is appropriate.

The Brand Name and trademark symbols are important for Kroger and need to be added to your item information as displayed on the product, please.

(1) (b) "Product Description" - If you wish to leave the Customer Facing Size information "10.9oz (309 grams)" in your main Product Description, we recommend you add a second version without the Customer Facing Size (Eg. "Fresh Express® Mediterranean Herb Chopped Salad Kit") and share it with Kroger GLN [0838016000116 - Certified Items for Kroger API]

Kroger does not accept the weight to be added in the Product Descriptions. If you do need this for other retailers, you can add a separate Description for Kroger only by following these steps:

A. Clone the existing Description:

Val_P_0-1759184176236.png

B. Remove the weight information and add the Kroger API GLNs

Val_P_1-1759184282997.png

The final part of the Reject message is a confirmation of the next step to be undertaken to make sure your item is reviewed after being updated:

 (2) Once reviewe/corrected, REPUBLISH this item as NEW for final QA review

Please bear in mind Republishing needs to be completed from Publications - Manage Publications (Publishing the item again from the item page does not help in this case).

I hope this helps. We will be here for you if we can help with anything else. Thanks!

Good morning team!

@Val_P , I have a follow up question to @AJ's.  Our company (Vigo Importing Co.) has the ® besides the name, as well as by our other brand, Alessi.

Does this mean that I would need to add this symbol to all our descriptions since Kroger now requires it?

Thanks in advance!

George_C

Hello @nancyVigo, it’s great chatting with you again!
Yes, this is a requirement for the Kroger API, as outlined on page 4 of the Kroger PDP Guidelines - Quick Reference for Style Guide & More. You can include it in the product descriptions to align with your product label.
Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

Are you able to use the Kroger API process for setup of new items while migration is taking place?  Or do you have to wait until migration is complete before setting up any new items with the Kroger API?

ana_neamtu

Hello, @Taylor3, and welcome back!

We recommend waiting until your migration is complete before utilising the new Kroger API process. In the meantime, you can work on creating/linking the new GTINs in Item Management if they were never created in Product Introduction.

For more FAQs, you can access the article below as well:

Hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have additional questions.
