Mclane Product Hierarchy

Hi,

I am not understanding how to upload my products with the correct Hierarchy. I have attached an image of how the products are packaged.

We have 24 inners within a master carton. Each inner contains 10 units. Each Master carton contains 24 inners for a total of 240 units in each master carton.

Thanks

Hello and thank you for reaching out and for the excellent detail.  Unless McLane requests otherwise, the best practice for your hierarchy would be a Case / Pack / Each configuration.  The Case is your "Master Carton," the Pack is your "Inner Carton," and the Each is your Single Unit (Consumer Unit).

Hi,

Can you tell me which option I should select for the Inner Carton?

I would recommend Pack

Hi,

There is no option for Pack, should I select Package instead?

Thanks

Hello, sorry, yes, I would recommend Package.  We habitually call that a Pack 🙂

Hi,

Got it, will set it up now.

Thank You

Hi,

Is there anything specific I need to enter here:

Hi,

Also do I have to link the hierarchy here in the links section?

Thanks

Based on your questions it seems you may be new to GDSN/IM.  I highly recommend you take a look at these quick training videos to help you get up to speed for item creation, validation, linking, and publication to avoid any mistakes.  I also recommend you use the McLane playlist and look at their requirements for synchronizing with them HERE.

Yes, you will want to complete all required attributes and link from in a Case/Pack/ Each configuration.
