Display changing from mixed to single each. Is unpublishing needed if the Gtin remains the same?

Good morning team!

I am in the process of updating a display which is changing from being a mixed display to a single item display.

Would I need to unpublish it from the customers before updating it, or would the update flow to them after being saved and validated?

Also, I'm assuming that I would need to unlink the eaches that will not longer be a part of the display before validating the item?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Nancy,

I highly recommend using the GS1 US Standards to determine if you need to actually create a new GTIN for that display. We do not want to change a GTIN from multiple items to a single item, as you might run into Inventory issues with the same GTIN having multiple children to a single child.

The link below will take you to the GS1 US GTIN Decision tool that will keep you within the standard.

@jcharles, thank you so much for your guidance with this issue.  I will pass along the information to my supervisors to determine how to proceed.

Have a great day! 🙂
