@DS Hello and thanks for your good question. That is mentioned in this video as a best practice. The CIC response from your trading partner/recipient after a successful publication can be dependent on a few things. Some recipients use an automatic response that you can see in an hour or two while others manually look at received publications before sending a response.
Most of the time, if can check your reports two hours after publication as most 1WS recipients have a master subscription that runs every hour or two.

I have gone through and Validation for the Hierarchy was confirmed.
I then Searched for the Case-level Item ID and have checked the Check Box on the left.
After I do, there is no Publish button above it to select. I have: Links, Clone, Export Data, Add to List, and Sales Slick.
Where is the Publish button?
jIf I have a Hierarchy with a pallet but want the customer to receive the Case, can I publish just the case? or will that cause errors?
Hello @LizPep and welcome to our customer community. If you have a hierarchy with a Pallet/Case/Each or any other multi-level configuration, you can publish at the different levels. Keep in mind, you will be sending any item content for the level you are publishing and anything below that level. So, if you publish the pallet, you send all three levels. if you publish the Case, you send just the Case and Each.

You can create your items in any order you'd like, however, it's important to link them in the correct order after you finish adding your items. I have attached below the article that covers linking: 101 Basic - How to Link Items to create a Hierarchy. Thanks!

How do I get permission to Publish items?

Welcome to the Community. To receive permission to publish items we would first need approval from your company's User Admin or the User Admin would need to update your permissions within their UMA account granting permission to publish. However, since you are already a User Admin your permissions have now been updated.

Hello @ErikaJ Thank you for reaching out to our customer community. Welcome. The user admin can update the Item Manager Role if needed. You were set up under Roles as Item Manager which has certain restrictions including Item Publish. Because you were setup as user admin we have updated your Item Management role and you should be able to publish now.

I've been trying to add a subscription to our account, but it keeps saying it failed due to a data validation error: "Subscriptions cannot be setup until the Synchronization Schedule is setup". However, I checked and there is a Synchronization Schedule for this recipient. Wakefern - GLN 0341190000006
I'm receiving an error when trying to publish a hierarchy of parent and child items that I'm not sure how to fix. I believe it is related to the pallet count. On the individual item I have listed the quantities for that UPC at the layer and pallet level. On the case items I have listed the case quantities for that UPC at the layer and the pallet level. Is that causing this error? If so, how should I enter that information? If not, what is causing this error? Thank you.

The Total Count of All Products attribute in Item Management must match the number of linked items in your hierarchy for the highest level and it must be 1 for the lowest level, please.
If your case contains 12 single units then the Total Count of All Products should be 12 for the case level and 1 for the consumer unit.

Hello @CybelesFTE Thank you for reaching out to our customer community. Welcome. The reason why you received that error is that your company is set up as a Manufacturer therefore you cannot set up subscriptions but your retailers have to set up one for your company GLN.
If you need to connect with Wakefern please complete the Trading Partner Form which is located on their landing page and they will have to create the subscription https://1worldsync.com/trading-partners/wakefern/.
Once the subscription is in place you should be able to see it in Item Management under the Reports- Current Subscriptions sections for targeted subscriptions.

I published yesterday, Wakefern came back this morning and said they do not see the publication on their side, this is what they show:
They have asked i publish again. Can i just publish without having to withdrawal the last one?

I usually have issues after publishing any item to Wakefern. A lot of them come back with a "Review" message, but no way to know what is wrong so that we can address it.
I have been reaching out directly to their Data Sync Department and they have been helpful in helping me to resolve issues.

You can Republish the item to Wakefern from the Menu > PUBLICATIONS > Manage Publications by: searching for the Item ID, then selecting the second row for the “Wakefern Food Corp.” Recipient , then clicking the Republish button.

@ana_neamtu, I followed the republish steps and results show completed on the worklist. However, when i check under the Sync Status Report it still shows as Pending Synchronization.

A Pending Synchronization status message is normal shortly after publication. This is because, in order for the information to be updated on the retailer's side, their subscription needs to run, meaning they need to request all item updates from the 1WorldSync customers since the last check in their systems. Wakefern's subscription runs every two hours, meaning they should be receving your item updates every two hours. Please note, if the retailer is using additional systems, it may take slightly longer for the item information to populate there, however the Pending Synchronization status message should be cleared in about two hours. I wanted to follow-up with you as the Wakefern subscription did run in the meantime.
We noticed some of your publications are Rejected as they are not meeting the retailer's attribute requirements. For Wakefern, it is important to use their playlists and ensure the mandatory retailer attribute are added, please. You can check this video for more details about 1WorldSync Playlists.
After adding the appropriate playlist and validating all hierarchy levels, please Republish your items as New from the Publications - Manage Publications screen for your Rejections to be overriden and the new data to be analyzed by the retailer, please. Here is an article explaining Republishing in Item Management. Thank you.
Hi , I did all those things, Wakefern even pointed out exactly what was needed or missing and republished. In looking at the CIC report, i show this but nowhere to click to figure out what is wrong. This comment section won't let me attach screenshots but 4 items have a red X and once has an orange clipboard. Again, there is nowhere to click or arrows to open to find out what the issue is.

I have dealt with similar issues while publishing items to Wakefern in the past.
As you stated, we are unable to see what is needed to update in order to solve the problems.
I have been communicating with their Data Sync Dept., which has been helpful.

Wakefern does not usually send back CIC responses that also include which attributes need to be updated through the systems. All you would need to do for them is add the information in the system, the playlists, then validate and solve and errors and warnings and then publish. If items need to be updated after publishing, they can be by Republishing (from Publications - Manage Publications) after completing the updates. You can then wait for their responses. If issues persist, please help us with the GTIN(s) in question to assist further. Thank you.
@Val , I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I followed the instructions exactly and published my corrections as New, but some of them are showing as corrections.
Please Republish as NEW following this path: Publication -> Manage Publications -> Select GTIN -> Republish -> Republish as NEW. (Do not publish from the GTIN record)
How is it still showing up as a correction? Item ID is 15056577755753, the chat won't let me insert a screenshot.

15056577755753 is currently missing a Wakefern playlist. When adding Wakefern Nonfood, we have 1 warning coming up on the Case:
On its corresponding Each, there are 3 warnings currently:
If you do not have a Coupon Family Code, adding 000 (triple zero) will bypass that warning, please. Once completed, please Republish again from the Publications - Manage Publications screen. Thank you, @Val . This is a thermos so allergens wouldn't apply. For type code i selected False, but it's making me select an Allergen Type Code. Which option would make sense for a non food item?
Thank you @Paladone2. The Allergen Declarations Indicator refers to all relevant allergen information provided and not to the item actually containing allergens, therefore we can suggest switching the attribute to True, please.
If unsure about any attribute in Item Management, hovering the mouse on top of the attribute name will also give you a definition and sometimes examples for how to add that attribute:

A correction message is sent when specific attributes are updated in Item Management. You may also receive a notification in Item Management on the product page itself when updating items that a "correction" will be sent to your retailers. This is the intended behavior; it is how Item Management is set up to work. Both 15056577757269 and 15056577755753 have been Republished successfully to Wakefern and are awaiting the retailer's review at the moment. This can be checked in the Sync Status report.

Wakefern is saying they have not received the new publishing from April 8th. They show they are still pending. They do not see any issues on their side, is there a way to find out what the issue is?

GTIN 15056577757269 was published with a publication date of September 1st 2026:
As long as the Republish did not fix the issue on the Wakefern side, please Withdraw the current publication for this and any other item encountering the same issue, then wait at least 4 hours, and then publish again with the publication date of that days's date - so today if you are submitting the information today. Please keep in mind the publication date is the date the item information is sent to the retailer, not when the item is actually shipped to them. Thank you.
