Attention suppliers synchronizing with Kroger via VIP or the Kroger API (KIA):  You may experience item submission failures due to more stringent DUNS number validations.

Latest Update from Kroger:
Kroger has confirmed that recent DUNS validation failures are accurate. With system modernization efforts, Kroger’s platforms now validate DUNS numbers more precisely. In the past, less rigorous checks may have allowed invalid entries to pass.

System Impacts:

  • KIA: Now provides more detailed error feedback, including the reason for the failure and suggested next steps.
    Example Error Message:
    “The Vendor DUNS number associated with this Ordering Unit is not found in Supplier Hub. Direct supplier to resolve in SH or contact SEG (US): 844-277-6165 or (Outside US): 011 513-387-1140.”
  • VIP: Continues to return clear error messages when DUNS validation fails.
    Example Error Message:
    “DUNS Number validation failed. Rejecting the message.”

Next Steps for Suppliers:
If your item(s) previously failed due to a DUNS validation error, please resubmit. Be sure to review the returned error messages carefully to determine the appropriate corrective action.

Important: The DUNS number provided with your item submission must match the DUNS number registered in Kroger’s Supplier Hub. If they do not match, the submission will fail validation.

Hello! How do I add a DUNS number to my ordering unit within 1WS? Kroger has our updated DUNS number.

Hi @Graza, welcome to the Community. To add the DUNs number, you would need to add the Kroger playlist. This is done in the search bar for the playlist. Then, under Item Attribute Sets in the search bar for it, you can search Duns, and it will take you to that section in Item Management.

hey there, 

I am seeing the error code specified above in the KIA on all of the items i am uploading: “The Vendor DUNS number associated with this Ordering Unit is not found in Supplier Hub. Direct supplier to resolve in SH or contact SEG (US): 844-277-6165 or (Outside US): 011 513-387-1140.”

I have now entered the Kroger supplier hub but I am not seeing any way to add items even utilizing supplier hub job aid to there direct specifications.

Here's the field as I see it, with no boxes next to the Enter Item field, and no option to upload or submit different GTINS to the address.

Is there any way that I can bypass this error through KIA to have the DUNS numbers come back as a positive hit without having the GTINs uploaded to the manufacturers supplier hub profile?

Hello @favorsforkroger, thank you for reaching out. Welcome.
Please be advised that the 'Vendor DUNS review message (CIC)' cannot be bypassed.
To resolve this, you will need to contact the Kroger Supplier Engagement Group (SEG) at 844-277-6165 (select option 2). They are the only team authorized to assist with this specific Supplier Hub requirement.
