If a supplier withdrew a publication but no changes need to be made, do they still have to wait 25 hours before they republish as new?

Hello @Beckey, thank you for utilizing our customer community and welcome back!

No, the item can be published without waiting the 25 hours as long as no change is needed. Also, not all changes require waiting the 25 hours, but only the below:

  • Deleting a Special Item Code
  • Changing Trade Item Non-Physical
  • Unlinking a GTIN from your hierarch
  • Updating the link quantity/Quantity of Next Level Items
  • Changing Base Unit Indicator

For more details about the withdrawal process, we have an article here: When Do I Have to Wait 25 Hours to Update My Item/Hierarchy?

If any other change needs to be made than the ones listed above, then the publication does not need to be withdrawn. If withdrawn, it is not necessary to wait the 25 hours.

Please let us know if this helped or if there is anything else we may assist with. Thank you and have a lovely day and week ahead!

Hello,

To follow-up on this. If an item was submitted as "INITIAL LOAD" instead of "NEW". Is there a way to remove the submission and re-submit as "New" in the same day? How would one go about that.

Thanks,

Hello @RyanDavis, thank you for the follow-up. Welcome to the customer community.

Yes, the publication can be submitted as New instead of Initial Load by Republishing from the Publications - Manage Publications screen. For more details about the steps, we have an article here: Republishing in Item Management. By using the Publish option, this will not override the Initial load publication type, so Republishing is needed.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if there is anything else we may assist with for this request. Thanks.
