Good morning,
I really hope I can explain this clear enough to get some help.
I'm setting up a new item for Walmart with an existing child that is in a couple other cases published to other customers. This child is going from a lay down bag to a stand up resealable bag.
If I make the change for Walmart it changes for all other customers. This item is not actually taking affect unil March 2026.
Is it possible to make the change to the child until the item is set up in Walmart's system and then change it back to the lay down dimensions for all the other customers?
Thanks in advance!

This is correct, an update for one retailer is submitted automatically to all retailers. Depending on which attributes you need to change, you can use Retailer Dependant Data for specific attributes like ordering and dispatch level, descriptions and marketing information, but the bulk of the information is submitted to everyone.

Technically yes, it is possible to do in the systems, but not recommended and will create issues with all retailers as the data updates automatically.
Please also note that, depending on how much the consumer unit changes, you may need a new barcode for it. You can use this GS1 tool to check if a new Each GTIN is necessary and, if still unsure, you can contact GS1 US for a confirmation: https://www.gs1.org/1/gtinrules/en/decision-support
Hope this helps. We are here for you if anything else is needed. Thanks!
