Referenced File Type Code required with no External File Link

I'm removing the External File Links data in the External Digital Assets section because we are uploading images into the DAM tool.

When I clear out the data, I'm not able to save the changes and get an error saying, "Mandatory attribute(s) or group(s) (Referenced File Type Code) not found with the segment."

I did find that if I add a date to "File Effective End Date" that I can save.

Can someone help me understand what the best method is to update images in IM?

Hello and thank you for reaching out via the customer community portal.  Before I answer, I have a follow-up question for you.  I took a look at your company account and see you have the option enabled where we convert your EFLs into DAM images.  With that enabled, can you tell me why you want to remove the EFLs and add them into DAM separately?  As an example, I found where you can see this occurred in your GTIN ending in 01748...

Hi @CommunityJedi22

We want to explore loading images into DAM directly instead of EFLs to have more consistency in our assets.

When you reference GTIN ending in 01748, is this an example of where the EFLs are converted into DAM images?

Can you tell me more about this option to have EFLs converted into DAM images on our company account? Is this an add-on and what are other options?

Good afternoon.  I apologize for my delayed response.  It is really just an easy button we can press which is already enabled for you.  When you look at images for one of your GTINs, if you see EFL over the image you can know we are displaying the EFLs in the DAM carousel, not loading the image into DAM.

Thank you for your response, @CommunityJedi22 . Circling back to my first question, what is the best method to resolve an EFL that is no longer needed?

Are you looking to remove the EFL completely from IM and if loaded in DAM, want to be absent there as well?
