In Item Management in the two fields below, sometimes they say GTIN_14 and sometimes GTIN_12.  Which is correct or does it matter as long as the GTIN for Point of Sale is correct for the GTIN Point of Sale Type Code?

GTIN for Point of Sale Type Code
GTIN for Point of Sale
GTIN_14 -- GTIN_14

GTIN_12 -- GTIN_12

Hello, @ ccald01, and welcome back to our customer community!

The GTIN for Point of Sale Type Code indicates the length of the barcode (it can 8,12,13,14 digits long), so a value should be chosen based on how long the GTIN for Point of Sale value is.

We usually see GTIN-12 for consumer units/EACHs, where the GTIN starts with "00" and the actual barcode is 12 digits. GTIN 14 is usually seen on higher packaging levels, where the GTIN does not start with "00" (such as Package, Case etc)
