Cube dimensions are the dimensions of a package’s width, height, and depth each measured from the furthest point, multiplied together. In short, it is a calculation of volume.

Taking a package’s height, multiplied by its width, multiplied by its depth will give you a number representing the total volume of the package. These measurements must be provided for each level of a packaging hierarchy, specific to the measurements of that level of packaging. Meaning the measurements provided for a pallet-level product must be the measurements of the fully packed pallet not the measurements of one of the individual products contained within.

Additionally, the total volume of your child products contained within the parent may not exceed the volume of the parent. To determine the total volume of the child products, you must calculate the volume of one child product by multiplying width times height times depth, then multiply that number by the total number of child items contained within the parent. If the cumulative volume of these products is greater than that of the parent, you will receive a critical error, which will prevent you from publishing until the values are adjusted.
