UNFI 2021 One GLN Announcement
As of September 25th, we have consolidated all UNFI Global Data Synchronization activity into one GLN!
What's changing?
- Everything now synchronizes via one GLN: 0041130079153 ("UNFI Corporate", formerly labeled
"Minneapolis/Hopkins", previously referred to as our "Primary" GLN).
o All our Conventional distribution center locations will now be updated via this one GLN.
- These locations are listed in the first tab of our updated "GLN List" document.
o Going forward, all new item publication and existing item synchronization must be done through this GLN.
o Publications sent to our old, retired GLNs will have no effect - they won't reach us or update our system.
- The second tab of our "GLN List" document lists all 25 of our retired GLNs. We recommend that you delete your publications from these GLNs as your schedule permits.
- Our retired GLNs will remain in the Global Registry until mid-2022, when they will be purged.
o We previously utilized 1WorldSync Market Groups to create groupings of our GLNs for suppliers to publish to - these have been removed.
- If you're using your own Market Groups to publish to UNFI, please update them so they only contain our one GLN.
- We're working on creating updated Conventional Item Sync reporting to give you visibility into the sync status of your existing UNFI items.
o Our previous sync report has been decommissioned - it was based on our old multi-GLN synchronization.
o We'll work with selected vendors to refine these new reports before making them available to everyone.
o These reports will continue to list only items carried in our Conventional DC locations.
What's staying the same?
- We still expect all Data Sync capable suppliers to synchronize their active UNFI items.
- We still expect all Data Sync capable suppliers to create all new items via Data Sync.
- UNFI is still subscribed to Target Market “US”. There will be no direct subscription from our GLN to your GLN.
- All UNFI Private Brand items should still specify a Brand Owner GLN of 0041130000003.
- It's still critical to use the NEW and INTIALLOAD publication types correctly.
