IM 8.40 (August 2023) Participant Dictionary, Valid Values, and Validations

Please see the attached Release Notes for IM 8.40.  These became active for the Pre-Production environment on Friday, August 11, 2023 and for Production on Saturday, August 18, 2023.

In addition, we updated the following documents related to this release.  Please review and post any questions you have below.

We are struggling a bit with the parsing of the participant dictionary this time: 

1. We are missing valid values for: Age restriction Item Type, Beef Cut, Chicken Cut, Acetone Content, Health Star Rating Category, Handling Temp, Lifestyle Claims. This looks like an error?
2. For materialWeightReduction & itemVolume attributes: They both have UOM in QualifierType column, but both are missing their UOM definitions in ValidValues sheet. This looks like an error?
3. Lifestyle Claims has an occurrence of '0.*' but based on our testing, it seems you do not accept multiple values? What is correct?
4. We also notice that all new attributes have empty value in "IM GUI Item Attribute Set". Is that correct?

We have an automated process for parsing this file so it is vital for our update that we have a correct file. So if there are issues with the file, please let us know when we can expect an updated file.

Hello, @Brian2 I pinged our Product team who will take a look at your feedback.  I would like to emphasize the PD Is a secondary document. Whatever is in IM or DSD is the correct information. If the PD differs from it, then IM/DSD wins.  We work to capture all important info in the IMPD and appreciate your feedback and patience.

Do you have an update to this issue?

We have a system-to-system integration to 1WS. The PD serves as one of the input resources to the setup of this integration. If the PD is wrong we cannot update.

Hello @Brian2 .  We will look at it with the next release of the PD. Unfortunately, we do not yet have that scheduled for a week or two when we get the September updates.

With the release of IM PD 8.41 v1 on 9/8/2023, here are actions taken on your comments.

According to IM, this attribute has a Flex Type of AM or 0..Many.

4. We also notice that all new attributes have empty value in "IM GUI Item Attribute Set". Is that correct?
There are times when we process the PD prior to the final release of the attribute files. In these instances, some information, such as IM GUI Item Attribute Set, or DSD information, are not available. Those pieces of information will be caught up in subsequent releases.
