McLane requires suppliers to provide certain attributes in McLane PI. Every hierarchy should have the following attributes populated:
Contact Name - The name of the person completing the information
DCs for Setup - What McLane DCs is the item being set up in?
Contains Hemp? - Does the product contain hemp?
Provide a value for either Case Cost, Pallet Cost or Bracket Price. Note: Do not include “$” in your price.
Once these fields are populated, you can click Save and Submit. This will submit your published hierarchy to McLane for their review. If McLane requires any other information or has any questions for you, your item status will change to “In Process Supplier” in PI and a comment will be added at the item level for your review.
If McLane accepts the submitted product information, your item status will change to “Complete.”
In 2022, McLane Grocery added the attribute "On FDA Food Traceability List" to designate if an item should be on the Food Traceability List. If an item is in process in Product Introduction, it will need to be published as NEW so the question can be answered in Production Introduction.
If you have questions about whether or not your item meets the Food Traceability Requirements please visit FDA.GOV under the FSMA information.
Is there a way for a supplier (our broker) to enter additional attributes other than the ones mentioned above. For instance, is there a place in the PI section to add the marketing message, features and benefits, storage and handling, etc?
Thank you,
Audrey

Hello @audrey and welcome to the 1WS customer community. Thanks for reaching out. You can certainly provide this information in IM and publish it to McLane for your product content. IM offers many opportunities to fully describe your product.
My question is can IM attributes be added to the Product Introduction by our supplier.
Hi @audrey. When it comes to attributes in McLane Product Introduction, unfortunately, additional ones can not be added. This is because the attributes in this platform are specifically tailored to McLane's requirements. The information you mentioned above can, however, be added to Item Management. Once this data is added there and then published to McLane, it is still sent to them even though there are no fields for the data in McLane PI.
Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!

The additional attributes that I would want the supplier to add ARE McLane requirements.
@audrey, unfortunately, there is no way to add any new or additional information or attributes in McLane Product Introduction if those attribute fields do not already exist in PI. Any fields that do not exist in PI would be populated in Item Management.
Thank you,
Hi I have some errors in my Item Management and not sure how to correct them. Is there someone who can help?
