Needing a new Gtin or just an update?

Good afternoon team!

I have a quick question regarding an upcoming change to one of our items.

Currently, we have a can of Anchovies in Olive Oil.  However, we are planning to swap the olive oil for sunflower oil...everything else will be the same.

Would we need a new Gtin or just update the item?

Thanks in advance!

Please forgive me but we get into some grey areas with the GS1 standards and I do NOT want to direct you incorrectly here.  I recommend you double-check here and as always, let me know what you decide and how it goes.  https://community.1worldsync.com/t5/GS1-Tools/GS1-Tools-Do-I-Need-a-New-GTIN/ta-p/9478

Hello @nancyVigo .  Always nice to chat with you.  Does this change in ingredient change your label and what you indicate as the recipe?  If so you will need a new GTIN...

@CommunityJedi22, thanks for the prompt response!

I was told that the change will amend the label...so, new Gtin?

I must say that I often use the GTIN tool myself as there can be gray areas! https://www.gs1.org/1/gtinrules/en/decision-support
