SLTL0017 : The file could not be processed because the file is empty

I am trying to upload a Fuse sheet using Modify. I have tried three times, and I am still getting the same error. There is no empty line at the top. I have unhidden all the columns. There are Operations and Import Items filled in for every item. The items that are not to be modified now have Append in Operation, and N in Import Item to try and make it work. What else do I need to check? Thank you.

Hello @nj73, thank you for continuing the use of the customer community. Welcome back.

There seems to be an issue with the formatting of the file you are trying to upload. I exported a new FUSE file from Item Management and the first row should read as follows in the top left corner:

The file you are uploading looks like the below in the top left:

We can suggest downloading a new FUSE template, please, and adding your item information in the new file, to make sure the formatting is accepted by the system.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you encounter any other issues for this request and we would be happy to help further. Thanks!

Thank you. That explains something and brings up something else. I downloaded that template on 9/10/25. However, I don't see the line with the template date in my download file. If I download another template, I should be able to copy and paste from one file to the other, correct? Or, could I just copy and insert the line with the date from template into the file I was trying to upload?

Thank you for the swift reply @nj73.

If I download another template, I should be able to copy and paste from one file to the other, correct?

Theoretically, yes, it should work, however if your Spreadsheet app is somehow reprocessing the file to not show that top row it may be reprocessing it elsewhere as well. Hopefully that is not the case though.

I would not recommend you reuse the template you were previously uploading as it is a slightly older version and each new Spreadsheet will contain field updates from one version to the next.

I created a blank FUSE export a few moments ago and will upload it here for you in case it helps. Thanks!

Thank you, Val. I sort of figured that and I downloaded a new template. So far, it looks good. The template date is at the top and everything seems to be in the matching columns so far. I appreciate your help.
