Product Activity Type Code

We have added Product Activity Type Code as Produced in Country and have received several Sync errors (various customers) stating that it is invalid.  Can you advise what we should be using in this field?  Thank you!

Hi @lflanary, it’s good chatting with you again.

The attribute for Product Activity Type Code is not a mandatory attribute for most retailers, and it can be left blank. In the case that it is requested by a retailer, and they did not specify which value they prefer, you can select  "Last Processing", as that is the most used and accepted value by the retailers.

Sorry, but one more question.  Are you seeing "last Processing" as widely used and accepted by foodservice as that is who is having the issues.  Thanks!

Hello @lflanary and thank you for the follow-up and for continuing the use of the community.

Yes, Product Activity Type Code can be added as Last Processing and most retailers will usually accept this as a valid value. Are you seeing an error for your items for a specific retailer? We can have a look if you can share the GTIN with us, please. Thanks!

GTIN 10023709120760 - I have not changed it from Produced in Country to last processing yet...

Hello @lflanary and thank you for the swift reply. As the publications for GTIN 10023709120760  are currently failing, all retailers this hierarchy is published to will not be receiving your item updates until the issue is rectified. You can complete the updates in Item Management whenever needed.

To check the status of a publication, you can use the Sync Status report and remove the Last Activity Date Range filter from the 2nd screenshot below. I obfuscated some of the information below, just in case it is sensitive, as an example for publications for this item currently:

For more details about using the Sync Status as well as other reports, you can use: Documentation - Item Management Reports

Thanks!
