Good Morning, We are a consumer product company and Syndigo is requiring Package type code and Packaging material type code. Does each level of the hierarchy, case, inner, unit, require a different packaging material type code. for instance, would the case be corrugate, the inner (not sure what the package is) and unit is a tube. Thank you, Audrey

Hello @audrey, , it’s good chatting with you again. Welcome back to our customer community.
Yes, please, each level of a hierarchy can have a different Packaging Material Type Code because not all items are packed the same.
Please let us know if there is anything else we may assist with for this request and we would be delighted to. Thank you and have a lovely day!

Hi Val, how would i find out the correct values for each level of the hierarchy, case, inner and unit for our customers. While i understand the consumer unit packaging material type i.e. tube, bottle, etc., are they asking what the case is made out of, i.e. corrugate or the inner, i.e. paperboard? I need more specific information.

Thank you for reaching out to our customer community. Welcome.
The definition for Packaging Material Type code is:
Valid value for the type of packaging material of the product, for example glass, plastic.
Used in conjunction with Packaging Material Quantity to provide information to the consumer and buyer on the type of material the product packaging is made of. Also used for the calculation of taxes such as "Eco-packaging contribution".
Valid values can be found on the IM Valid Values tab of our Participnat Dictionary, link below:

If you are unsure of what the value should be, please check internally with your packaging/manufacturing team.
