Hello,
It has come to my attention that the recipient isn't visible in the item history report or the worklist for publication deletes. I did find the recipient in the work list if I expanded each line but it is not in the main report line.
Second when I display the XML associated to the publication delete, the operation 'delete' is not in the XML. Is this just an issue with displaying the XML or is the recipient not getting the operation tag part of the message?
Attached is a document of examples from GTIN 80746025128607.
Thank you.

Hello, @Food_Fiend . I hope you had a pleasant weekend The way the Item History Report works is when you trigger a transaction that triggers a CIN message (Pub, Re-pub, Modify) then you will not see the recipient(s) on the same line as when you see Item Correction or Publication Add. You see the recipient for each subsequent transaction line item when a successful CIN message is created. Below is an example from one of your GTINs.
If you perform an action that does not create a CIN, you will see some of the blanks you are asking about in this discussion. More specifically, if you try to republish something or delete a pub that does not exist, you will see blanks and a black arrow pointing to the error message:
If this is not helping, please let me know and I can ask someone from Tech Support to reach out to you. So far, based on my understanding of your questions and what I see in your reports, I do not yet have anything to escalate as I only see expected behavior but am happy to work with you until I see it or I better explain what you are seeing.

Hello and Happy Friday. Can you click on the black arrow next to the GTIN in question? There you will see the error message associated with the activity you are asking about. It appears you tried deleting a publication that does not exist:
222-Publication does not exist to perform the DELETE operation

That was not my point. All the lines in the two reports are filtered on the GTIN. (Item History & Worklist) My concern is not the one with an error. The point is the recipient column is blank for all lines related to publications - add or delete. It makes it hard to find specific publishing information for a recipient such as when it happened.
The information disappears from the worklist after 90 days and it simply isn't available in Item History. This was discovered when answering a customer's question, 'When was it unpublished?'

I believe the report that would serve your needs as you describe them is actually Publications > Manage Publications. When I search for pubs for GTIN 80746025128607, just like the other reports show, there is none in place...

Sorry to beleaguer the topic but how does that tell me when the item was unpublished?

Hello, @Food_Fiend I believe in my taking a look I went on a tangent and did not realize the center of your question was how to learn when you unpublished an item. You are correct that you can use the Worklist for 90 days and from there can use the Item History Report. In that report, those areas where you do not see the recipient GLN are because the pub delete had already occurred and the error we discussed was triggered. Can you look further in your Item History Report as you should see the deletes when they were first activated successfully before the recent attempts that errored out?

I ran the Item History Report for 3 different GTINs to verify the information, including a long running item 80020169151005. No publication add, delete or republish, whether it was successful or not, shows the recipient that was the target of the action. Perhaps this can be corrected in a future update. It would also be nice to be able to close these threads rather than only having the option of 'Accept as Solution' when there isn't a solution.

Can you share those three example GTINs with me that you mentioned a few minutes ago?
