Is there a way to upload images in bulk?
Doing so in item management is going to take many man hours. How can this process be done in a large batch?

Hello @vsantiago, it's great chatting with you again.
Images can be uploaded in bulk using the FUSE Spreadsheet. This is possible though only if you already have online links (which must be freely available online and not locked behind a username and password) to your product images already because the FUSE file will allow you to add the links and upload the image information in bulk.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if there is anything else we may assist with for this request. Thanks!

@Val
Thank you so much for that explanation. I do not have the images available publicly. Once a Parent GTIN has an image uploaded, can I export all Parent GTINs and copy the FS_DAM tab for their respective Children?? And vise versa?
I appreciate all your help.

Hello @vsantiago and thank you for the follow-up.
This would not work unfortunately as Item Management creates its own links for each product image, so even if an image is identical on two different GTINs, the links would be different. Even if it had worked though, there are quite a few retailers that may not accept the same image on your Case and Each. The Consumer Unit images are usually more important for retailers. Depending on which companies you need to publish to, you may only need to add consumer unit images to your products. Thanks!

Hi @Val ! We have online links that are freely available online through Google Drive. In what field(s) do we submit them? If Google Drive is not acceptable, we do have a DAM called Air.
Thanks in advance.

Hello @Tossware, thank you for reaching out to our customer community. Welcome.
As long as the links are freely available to anyone to access and not locked behind a login, they are good to go for use in our systems as External File Links.
The links and image information will be added in the External Digital Assets section in Item Management, please:
The link (URL) to the image itself will go in the Uniform Resource Identifier field.
We are here for you in case there is anything else we may assist with. Thanks!

Hello @Tossware and thank you for utilising our customer community.
A lot of the data on the spreadsheet is missing or incomplete. Also it seems that one of my colleagues replied to Ian with instructions on how to make the upload/update successful.
Here is the advice that would help you with the FUSE upload that my colleague already sent:
You can upload image information using your own URIs/links under the External Digital Assets > External File Link (EFL) attributes.
This is done in bulk via the FUSE template > the FS_Item tab > the External File Link (EFL) attributes.
The FUSE template is generated by exporting items from Item Management. The easiest way would be to provide the EFL attributes for one GTIN in Item Management first, then to export that GTIN and all the other GTINs for which you need to provide images. That way, the EFL columns would not be hidden and the GTIN that already has this information can be used as a model in the template.
Steps we recommend:
1. Go to the Menu > ITEMS > Export Items
- In the Item ID field, provide all GTINs that you need to update, separated by a blank space. We would recommend including the GTIN with the EFL information provided at this step
OR
- Leave the Item ID field blank if you want to export your entire catalogue of items
2. Then click Next and follow the steps on the screen (please switch Include Valid Values in export to yes before clicking Export )
3. Download the file from the Message Centre, unzip and open it, then make these changes under the FS_Item tab:
Set the OPERATION column to APPEND and the IMPORT ITEM? column to Y on all ITEM rows for the GTINs that need to be updated,
Provide the EFL columns. You can use CTRL+F to search for the name of the attribute to identify the column, such as search for "Digital Asset type Code"
Save the changes and upload the file in IM using the Upload Files button on the IM Dashboard
Track the upload under the Message Centre and the Worklist
If all goes well, you should see the image information in Item Management, under the External Digital Assets section of each GTIN you updated via FUSE.
This Community article can be used for a list of EFL attributes that you can search for and provide (We recommend providing the minimal attributes- you can ignore the Shared With attribute because you only have one recipient):
