I have an item that is sold in a case of 20, we are going to create a new item with the exact same item in the case, but with a qty of 8. What is the best practice for creating the new GTIN?
Hello, that is a good question and we have a video that will show you how to clone (copy) the existing case. We will copy your parent GTIN and link the same consumer unit to the new parent with a new quantity.
We can think of a can of soda as an example. The same can of soda is normally linked to a 6 pack, 12 pack, and even a 24 pack.
I am asking about the GTIN. Also, this would not be part of a hierarchy. it is a different pack size for a different customer, both Cases, just that the each GTIN is the same.
