Good afternoon team!
My team is in the process of meeting the compliance requirements for all our products by updating our labels to display the GS1-128 Barcode.
One question that has come is this: Since the barcodes will reflect the Gtins, Lot Codes and Date Codes, will we need to update Barcode images every time items change (Lot Codes and Date Codes) so that they are current and not passed the best by dates?
There are a number of customers requiring an image of the Bar Code and we wanted to make sure that we meet all the requirements properly.
Thanks in advance!

Hello @nancyVigo it is good chatting with you again. Yes, when the items change and there are changes to the barcode/ dates, then we suggest updating those images too to reflect the product information properly.
Also, if needed, you can add the barcode images to be visible only to the retailers who are asking for them.
Thank you!

@Maria, good morning and thank you for the prompt response! I do have a follow up question:
With the implementation of the new GS1-128 barcode, our barcodes will change with each production run. Would we therefore need to update the image every time the item is produced with a new lot code?
Or is it advisable to use a generic image that shows the position of the lot code and BBD information, but does not have any dynamic elements?
Thanks again!

Hello @nancyVigo, it is good chatting with you again. We would recommend updating the images as the information on your items will change, so it can be accurate, as the retailer requested the label images. You can also confirm with the retailer if they are okay with a generic image showing the position of the Lot Number.
Thank you!
