I have entered several items of a particular type of product that we now are going to discontinue. I now need to remove, delete, discontinue them or whatever the proper process is. They have not been published to anyone. They do not have images added. They are not linked to anything. There are 5 items plus an unrelated, unpublished pallet entry that should be removed as we should not need it. It does have a link.
Would you please advise how to do this? Thank you for your help.

Hello @nj73 and thanks for continuing the use of the community.
Any item(s) entered in Item Management can be deleted if the conditions for the process are met.
We have the following article in our Community explaining the process and steps for any item delete (purge) request: How to Delete (Purge) GTIN from Item Management
You can raise a ticket with our Support team from this Community screen to request the removal.
Please let us know if this helped or if there is anything else we may assist with for this request. Thank you!

Thank you. However, after I sent the message above, I checked with our marketing department and they indicate that we do NOT want to eliminate or purge the GTINs from the Global Registry in the event that we can reinstate these items again. So, I need to remove or flag these items so that they will not publish -- at least not at this time. Can these entries simply be deleted from our entries as if we hadn't entered them, but not remove them from the Global Registry?

Hello @nj73, it's good to chant with you again. When performing a GTIN purge or deletion, one essential step is removing the item from the Global Registry. To help prevent further use or publication of these entries, you might consider appending a note like “Do not use” or “Do not publish” to the product name—or any phrasing you prefer. Additionally, adding a Discontinued Date under the “Dates” tab can clearly signal its status.
Please let us know if this helped or if there is anything else we may assist with for this request. Thank you!

Thank you. Will the "discontinued" date prevent it from being published by mistake, or is it just a "flag" that you have to deliberately uncheck or exclude from publishing somehow? I can see doing the date and adding "do not publish" to the name, I just need to know if any of that automatically keeps it from publishing or I need to watch out for it. Thanks.

Hello @nj73
When an item is discontinued, it gets de-registered from the Global Registry. Any attempt to publish it while it still carries a Discontinued Date will fail. To re-enable publication, the Discontinued Date must first be removed, and the item must be updated accordingly.”
Thank you!
