Delete an Item

I cloned an item yesterday to enter a new item in but had to immediately get out of it due to another project.  Is there a way to delete this item so I can try to clone again?  I don't want to have to manually enter everything if there's a chance to clone.

Hello @ManSpecFoods and thank you for continuing the use of our customer community. Welcome back.

We have an article here that details the GTIN delete/purge process: How to Delete (Purge) GTIN from Item Management.

While this process needs to follow certain steps, in your specific case there is a quicker fix than requesting the item to be deleted.

You can export the item you wanted to clone the information from as an Excel file - the specially formatted file is called Load Sheet (FUSE) for Item Management and you can find more details about how to export an item in the attached PDF here: Documentation - FUSE Quick Sheets

Once you have the original file exported, you will need to change 3 pieces of information in the FUSE file: column B for Operation needs to say either "APPEND" or "MODIFY" (both will work identically in this specific case), column C for Import Item? needs to say "Y" for "yes" and last but not least column G for Item ID needs to have the old GTIN replaced with the one you wanted to copy the old information into.

You can then Upload the saved FUSE file in Item Management and it will auto-update all attributes for you without having to go through the delete/purge steps.

Please let us know if this helped or if there is anything else we may assist with for this request. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
