Cloning - Item Management

Good morning!

How do I get the new item ID when cloning an existing item? I can't figure out how/where I get the new item ID to clone something.

@SMCGINLEY and @CommunityJedi22 , if I may insert a suggestion of what works best for me, which I learned from the 1WS team whenever I started to work on the website.

I try to look for an item which has the same information (specs, allergens, nutritional info, etc.) as the one I'm cloning to make it easier for me.  If I do find one that's already on the website, all I need to do once I start the cloning process is change the description, item number, Gtin and those attributes unique for that item and save.  Pretty easy, once you get the hang of it! 🙂

Hello @SMCGINLEY and welcome to the customer community.  Thanks for reaching out.  When cloning, you provide the GTIN or Item ID for the new item you are creating.  YOu would use the same GTIN allocation rules you used to create the other GTIN from the UPC.  You can find more in the IM Quick Sheet
