SYSCO is requiring us to select values for Buy American Provision Compliance, including providing a Certificate of Origin - Buy American Provision and indicating Yes or No to certify that all products distributed by Alpha Baking Company, Inc. are manufactured in the USA and comply with the Buy American Provision.
Where in IM are these fields found and how do I upload a .pdf of our Buy American Certification ?

Hello @bf and thank you for utilising our customer community. The value you added for the Digital asset type code is not a valid value. You would need to look at the IM 8.61 Included (May 2025) Participant Dictionary, Valid Values, and Validations for valid values. The valid values will come up under the DAMReferencedFileTypeCode. All the valid values should be from row 4127 to row 4212.
We also edited the comment and removed the Excel file as it had way too much data that should only be visible to your company.
Thank you and have a great day.

Yeah they're telling me it's on my side. I've followed directions. Any other ideas?

Hello, @eburger, and welcome back!
The information provided in Item Management looks correct for this certification for the GTIN you mentioned. However, Sysco might have specific attribute mapping rules for listing this data on their end, so we recommend verifying their portal for additional information on how this certification needs to be indicated in GDSN.
When accessing the Buy American section of Sysco's platform, you might see instructions for the required fields, maybe by hovering over the name of the attributes or the "i" icon next to it, if applicable. It's possible the Regulation Type Code might need to be left blank if the "Buy American" certification does not apply to your items, so not providing information for it might translate as a "No" in Sysco's system. In other words, removing the Regulatory Information box for the "Buy American Provision USDA" regulation type code from your GTIN might help.
You can also reach out to Sysco's team to confirm the names of the GDSN attributes and the values that they need sent to them from our system to indicate this certification does not apply to your items.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any additional questions.

Good morning!
Since we already use the Regulatory Information area for the FSMA204, do we need to add another area in order to fill out the Buy American regulations?
Thanks!

Hello @nancyVigo,
Thank you for continuing the use of our community!
You are correct. The Buy American regulation would also be provided under the Regulatory Information section of the GTIN. We recommend taking a look at THIS article for more information ( the Attributes tab of the document will list the fields that will be taken into consideration for this regulation).
Hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have additional questions.
