Some error messages require clarification as they can seem unique and may even seem unrelated to your product. Let's take a look at this one around ingredientName and grapeVarietycode.
Error Message: If any attribute of the FoodAndBeverageIngredient class is used either ingredientName or grapeVarietycode, or both shall be used Grape Variety Code. This error is seen when validating the item.
How to Resolve: This error is generated when any attribute under the section "Food and Bev Ingredient" is populated or when you populate the attribute Country of Origin under the ingredient info.
GDSN customers, whether you use 1WS or any other data pool, will have to correct this on your datapool side and resend once corrected.
I am having exactly this issue but I am not able to remove that error and move on....
I even tried to delete "ingredient statement" but the error is still appearing and I cannot save any work before that error is resolved... any assistance would be highly appreciated.
Hello @Seebo,
Can you share the GTIN you are currently working on so I can review?

Hello @Seebo,
I was able to remove ingredient statement and save.
Continue updating your GTIN and let me know if you are still having issues.
Great,....seems to work. Thank you!
Hi I am having the same issue. Unable to continue saving even though I have removed/deleted ingredient statement
Hello @CosmicFreeze,
Thank you for reaching out to our customer community. Welcome!
This error is triggered by any field provided under the Food And Bev Ingredient class and is most commonly seen when customers provide the Ingredient Country of Origin field instead of the Country of Origin Code (found under Processing Information) for the item.
Whenever you come across this error, kindly check the Ingredients attribute set > Food And Bev Ingredient box for any fields you might have provided here by mistake and clear them out, if you did not want to provide ingredient additional information:
As a side note, the Ingredient Statement should be listed, if it exists for your item. This field is not part of the Food And Bev Ingredient class, hence it will not generate this error.
Hope this helps and please don't hesitate to let us know if you have additional questions
