The E-commerce Description should describe the product for online channels. The best length is between 20-40 characters with a maximum length of 100 characters.
Kroger asks that you avoid special characters aside from the ampersand (&), trademarks, or apostrophes. Please do not include bonus offers like 25% more free in your E-Commerce Descriptions. Be sure to capitalize using Camel Casing: Each Word in the Description is Capitalized (excluding the words the, in, with, and, for).
For products with a longer description, the preferred structure is: Brand > Prod-uct Line(s) > Important De-scriptor (if applicable) > Fla-vor and/or Product.
Correct Example: Simple Truth Organic Strawberry Fruit Spread
Incorrect Example: Fruit Spread Strawberry Organic Simple Truth
For products with a shorter description, the general structure is: Brand > Flavor and/or Product
Correct Example: Kroger Vanilla Ice Cream
Incorrect Example: Kroger Ice Cream Vanilla
How can we change the e-Commerce description for existing items?

Changing the e-Commerce Description is fairly easy depending on where it originates.
If you look at the Images and the way it looks indicates that it's hardcoded in there. The only way to make that change is to change it in Item Management.
If we pull the same item up in Item Management, we can see the only description that matches the one in VIP, is the Product Description.
We would edit in Item Management and in about 15 minutes you will see the e-Commerce description change.
I think the mapping in IM is linked to another attribute. Let me get back to you with details. Thanks, /E
