Lowe’s TI/HI Validation Error

Anytime a supplier published a GTIN hierarchy to Lowe’s with a parent GTIN that is a Pallet, certain validations are applied to meet Lowe’s requirements.  If this is not submitted correctly, you could see this Review message from Lowe’s:

CIC999:Despatch lvl, Product of Ttl Qty Trade Items & Ttl Qty Layers per Trade Item must = # Unit Contained

Because your parent GTIN is a Pallet, there are several attributes and values to consider in order to correct this Lowe’s review message.  First, note your GTIN link quantities and your value for Qty of Next Level Items on your Pallet GTIN.  Next, please be aware there are actually two sets of values related to TI/HI.  One set is used when you have an actual pallet GTIN in the hierarchy.  The second set is used when you do not have a pallet GTIN in your hierarchy but want to communicate what a pallet would look like for you.  These two are identified in Item Management as “Number of Trade Items Per Pallet Layer / NON GTIN Pallet Ti” and “Number of Layers Per Pallet / NON GTIN Pallet Hi.”

For this Lowe’s error message, we are addressing the TI/HI attributes that are required when you have a Pallet GTIN in the hierarchy.  These attributes are identified in Item Management as “Number of Items in a Complete Layer / GTIN Pallet Ti” and “Number of Complete Layers Contained in Item / GTIN Pallet Hi.”

The attribute “Number of Items in a Complete Layer / GTIN Pallet Ti” is used to identify how many of your child items under the pallet (i.e. Case) occur in one row on the pallet.  The attribute “Number of Complete Layers Contained in Item / GTIN Pallet Hi” is used to identify the number of rows “high” on your pallet.

With those numbers in mind, this is how you correct the validation error from Lowe’s.  The value for Pallet TI times the value for Pallet HI should equal the value for Qty Next Level items between your pallet and child item.  TI x HI = Qty Next Level Items.  If this is not true, update your values so they are accurate and pass these validations.
