Troubleshooting error messages in PI/VIP starts by identifying the attribute(s) referenced in the error. The error messages are in red with an error code like the ones below (PI99017 and PI4000). In the example below, the error is referencing “Classification” attributes:
Once you are able to pinpoint the field that needs your attention, also take note of the GTIN shown at the end of the error message. In the example above, the error message indicates the GTIN that needs more work.
Open your item and click on it in the search results. From there, you will see the hierarchy screen showing you the items you searched for and any other GTINs it is linked to in the hierarchy structure.
Navigate to the item editing page by selecting ‘Edit’ in the ‘Attribute Display Preference & Item type Attributes’ window, found towards the top of the page. Next, select ‘View All Attributes’, and then ‘Save & Continue’.
Once you close out of this window, you can use the ‘Find’ feature to locate the Classification attributes. For Windows Operating systems, this is done by pressing and holding the Ctrl and F buttons at the same time, and Command and F buttons for Apple operating systems. This will prompt a search bar that can be used to search for the attribute in question.
Once you populate the attributes in the Kroger Class area that are capitalized and have an asterisk, save. The system will advise you of any other missing attributes.
Once your class attributes are completed successfully, validate your item to see if any other attributes are required. Correct any errors and submit once you are ready.
How is it possible the item was marked as Ready to List, and when I went to submit, I got the
PI99017 | Classification is missing. Item

The only red error I have on all 4 products, in ready to list. Please advise.
A example GTIN? You would like the GTIN for the item I am working on?
Hi @CPodman. Yes, could you please provide the GTIN that you are working on for us to look at? Thanks in advance.
Thank you @JustinW
The GTIN is 05900635000053
Thank you so much for that question! The 1WorldSync Community Moderation team is moving your post to Albertsons Discussions area as I see the validation errors are specific to Albertsons. I will respond there with information on how to resolve those. Thank you!
