Vendor Description – Short Description in Item Management

Please populate the attribute on each level of your GTIN hierarchy.  .  In Enhanced Item Management (EIM), select the Lowe’s Playlist and search for the attribute.  EIM will present the attribute to you.

In Classic Item Management (IM), make sure you are in Full Item View > click the Product Description tab > scroll down and you will see Short Description in the Trade Item Description section. 

Please note, in GDSN terms, this is a very short description like what a consumer sees on a receipt after purchase.  This is an example of the error provided by Lowe's via CIC response to supplier:

CIC999:Error(s) in child items.:CHANGE_BY_REFRESH_MESSAGE:Please send a Change by Refresh message.Vendor Description is a required attribute at the Consumer Unit level
