How to Use GDSN for Amazon

Today, Amazon does not fully utilize the GDSN the way many other data recipients use it.  The process varies and if not completed correctly, requires unique troubleshooting.  One of the biggest differences is the process after publication to Amazon for items not yet sold to Amazon:

• Amazon suppliers should publish to the GLN and once complete, extract the item(s) from IM using the applicable playlist.
• The supplier can download the Amazon template from Vendor Central based on the nature of the product.
• The supplier can copy the information from the FUSE extracted from IM and add the required information to the Vendor Central spreadsheet.  They should check the structure to make sure all content is in the appropriate column.
• Once complete, upload the spreadsheet into Vendor Central, and if successful, the item setup is complete. 
• The supplier can now send updates (modifies/corrections) via IM/GDSN for these completed items.

Is there an update on the above GDSN process? FYI - the implementation guide is older than this post above dated 01/2021. Please share the latest process/implementation guide if available for both Amazon US and Canada.

Hello and thanks for reaching out.  I am checking into this but the Implementation Guides do not typically change often as they are getting started docs with standard information.

thanks, @CommunityJedi22 . Two more questions:

1. Does Amazon need to send a subscription request to us/is there a trading partner form available? The implementation guide is silent about this process.

2. Does New/Initial load apply to Amazon? or do we ALWAYS publish hierarchies as 'New' to Amazon?
