Before successfully submitting an item to Kroger, you must top off item information with Kroger-required attributes on the Item and the Hierarchy Data page. The validation errors that appear on the Hierarchy screen are structured in the same way as the validation errors displayed on the Item screen. The primary difference between the two is that the Item screen will only display errors for attributes that are present on that item screen. The Hierarchy screen can display errors for attributes that exist on any level of the hierarchy.
Parts of an error message
Validation errors on the Item screen have two helpful elements: The attribute field name (A) and whether it is located within a pop-up window (B).
(A) The attribute field name in the error message will be identical to the name next to the appropriate field where the attribute value can be entered.
For example, for the error message KR1513 Type of Labeling is required for all base units. The attribute name is “Type of Labeling”.
(B) Some attributes are located within pop-up windows. In the example below, the attribute name is “Color” and the pop-up window name is “Classification Specific Attribute Information”.
For example, for the error KR16338 Color in Classification Specific Attribute Information pop-up is required on Base units in this Family Tree Class. The attribute name is “Color,” and you need to go into the pop-up called “Classification Specific Attribute Information” to add the attribute.
Locating validation errors quickly
Use the Find or text search feature provided in every browser to quickly find a particular field name. Complete the steps below in your browser to save time finding validation errors on the Item screen. The steps may vary depending on the browser being used.
Submitting the Hierarchy
After all of the validation checks have completed successfully, click Submit. This will change the Status from “In Process – Supplier” to “In Process – Retailer”. The Kroger CIC state will change from blank to “Received”.
This means the item has been received by Kroger’s systems and is awaiting further review and processing. Continue to check the CIC state until it reads “Synchronized”. If the CIC state ever reads “Review” or “Reject”, the hierarchy requires modification or additional information. Check the Comments section to the left of the Hierarchy page for more details in that case.
@CommunityJedi22, thanks for the valuable info, which I will add to my Kroger VIP folder so that anyone in my team can solve issues easier and in a timely manner. 🙂
You are welcome @nancyVigo . I hope you are doing well and getting some warmer weather.
@CommunityJedi22, oh yes, we usually have pretty warm weather in Florida! Same for you all. 🙂
