GS1 Tools - Guidance for Sharing Product Attributes via GDSN in Retail Grocery

GS1 offers many tools to help information providers create, synchronize, and manage product content with trading partners.  One of these tools is the GS1 US Guidance for Sharing Product Attributes via GDSN in Retail Grocery.

Good evening, I've learned from a valued customer that our items are not reflecting to be Verified by GS1.  I spoke with GS1 and I'm attempting to published to the indicated GLNs for GS1 

GS1 US 0614141000005 and GS1 VbG 0811234008249 

Neither of the items have appeared in GS1 Hub 'products' and I need to understand how to correct and get this updated for our customer scorecard to reflect the correct information as soon as possible.  

Greatly appreciate any and all assistance.

Hello @AJ and Welcome back. The reason why they do not show up is that there is a publication failure that is preventing your items from flowing over. The publication error refers to the productActivityTypeCode PACKED_IN is invalid.

Please update the Product Activity Type code on your consumer unit with an option accepted by GS1. Alternatively, you can remove the Product Activity Details sections along with the Country of Activity as they are not mandatory fields. Once the updates are made please publish again.

I have updated the field and also trying to publish additional items to GS1 Verify. 

I was looking for their subscription schedule and it appears GS1 VbG 0811234008249 is hourly, but I didn't see a schedule for GS1 US 0614141000005. Can you provide guidance on this information also?

Hello @AJ Welcome back! Can you please advise why are you publishing to the GLN 0614141000005? We could not find any proper information that it is a valid Recipient GLN. We suggest confirming with GS1 US to see if the GLN you would like to use is a valid one and can be used for publications.

I contacted GS1 Hub about the publication process and the rep gave me GLN 0614141000005 to publish to and then I found instructions on the Community page with GS1 VbG 0811234008249 and asked them about it, they weren't aware so told me to try both.

Since my message this morning, I believe I have successfully published to GS1 VbG 0811234008249, but I'm waiting to see a confirmation before publishing the rest of our list.

Thank you for your help. However, I have several items published to GS1 VbG 0811234008249 yesterday and I see no other publications reflect being sent or being accepted.

Hi @AJ, and welcome back. As I checked your worklist as well as the Sync Status report and the Manage Publication section I only found one item GTIN 00071279495354 published to GLN 0811234008249, no other items are shown as being published to this GLN. 

Could you provide us with some GTINS to check, from the ones you published?

Hello @AJ

The items provided are each GTINs and we cannot find any existing publications for them. The highest levels for these GTINs were published towards UNFI or Wakefern but not GS1. As we noticed that you are using the AS2 method to make these publications we suggest checking there and see if something is preventing these items from being sent over to the Item Management portal.
