Rating Only Reviews

PowerReviews has the ability to capture a star rating only review, which we refer to as a "Rating Only" review. This allows you to capture consumer sentiment even if the user does not want to fill out (or otherwise abandons) the full write-a-review (WAR) form. Ratings Only reviews can help with overall review collection and coverage so that fewer products show zero reviews when your customers are browsing product listing pages (PLPs) and product display pages (PDPs) on your website. To enable Rating Only review collection, please reach out to your CSM.

Collection

A Rating Only review is captured immediately upon a user clicking the star icons on the WAR form. The user can then change/rewrite this rating by clicking again on the stars. 

Display

Because Rating Only reviews have no text associated, these will be differentiated as "Ratings" (vs. "Reviews") on the display. Users will be able to see the number and distribution of Ratings, but will not see individual Rating Only reviews broken out. 

Moderation and Portal

Because there is no text associated with Rating Only reviews, no moderation is necessary, and you will not find them in the Moderation section of the PowerReviews Portal.

Instead, you can see and observe Rating Only reviews and collection trends in our Analytics Suite.
