Error SLTL0007: The file could not be processed because an invalid Record Type was found.

How to Resolve

Take a look to make sure the Item or More is in the column.  You can create a new template and copy and paste over the data as needed.

Points to Remember for FUSE

  • GDSN attributes are added and updated regularly by GS1 and 1WorldSync.  Extract a new FUSE file as a template regularly to ensure you have the latest and most accurate version.
  • Avoid breaking your FUSE by never removing columns or tabs and be sure you do not modify the first three rows at the top of the FUSE sheet.
  • Remember, there are some attributes that have component versions as well as the standard version.  Only populate component versions of attributes when you intend to provide all component attributes for your item.

Hello @CB30 and thanks for reaching out via the customer community.  Can you provide me a little more detail including any GTIN details so we can take a closer look with you?

It doesnt give me the GTIN or any information on which style its on. I uploaded over 100 GTINs and just have the below error

@CB30

Hi Carly,

Welcome back to our online community!

Are you looking to edit GTIN 00197667413561 using FUSE? I just want to confirm we are working on the same GTIN.

Thanks!

No i have a full fuse sheet with a lot of styles and GTINs that im loading in and its saying that there is an error in the record column. But i picked the two options they gave me, item and more. Ive done this on a bunch of sheets in the past and had no errors now im getting errors.

@CB30

Can you share that sheet with me via the private message link?

So, how was this resolved?  I'm having a similar issue.  I'm only uploading a few items and this doesn't give me an item or line to look at that it isn't liking.  Just "SLTL0007 : The file could not be processed because an invalid Record Type was found."

@KathyMayes

I have not gotten the sheet that she was having issues with. The error usually cannot be fixed or I have never had it work. We encounter many users that try to clear it but carry it over to sheet after sheet. I recommend adding one line manually to make sure the record is clear and drag down.

If you choose to copy from another Excel sheet, make sure you do not carry the formatting.

I had some rows as "item", and some as "more" and the only was i was able to solve was to delete the "more" rows

Good morning,

I have tried to upload 3 new allergen type codes for a certain GTIN.

- Indicator for new group added

- Allergen type codes added

- Allergen containment code added

Record type used: "More"

Operation used: "Append"

Import item used: : "y"

Error obtained is SLTL0017 : The file could not be processed because the file is empty when uploaded.

Can you please assist?

Hello @LuisalbaMunoz and welcome back!

The values for the OPERATION and the IMPORT ITEM? columns should always be provided on the "ITEM" row of the GTIN. Please make sure that:
- the "APPEND" operation in column B and the "Y" value in column C are listed for the record type "ITEM"
- columns B and C are blank for the "MORE" record types- the "MORE" rows should only contain the new values to be added to the item
