How can I opt in/out of being copied on notifications?

  • To opt in or out of being set up to receive Manufacturer Claims and/or 1WorldSync Request notifications, log in to your Best Buy PartnerAccess account and click on you name in the upper right hand corner of the screen. This will take you to your User Profile page. Check or uncheck the cc: boxes as desired below your contact information.

How can I track the content production status of a SKU?

Once we receive a content build request from Best Buy for the SKU, you can view the production status in the Catalog tab of your account.

  • Acquisition = We are in the process of gathering content and converting it to meet Best Buy's custom requirements.
  • On-Hold = There is content that is needed to complete Best Buy's requirements and a 1WorldSync Request has been created for it and sent to the Default User for the account.
  • Submitted = We have gathered all the required content for the SKU and it has been delivered to Best Buy.

Once a SKU has a "Submitted" status you can click on it in the Catalog tab to see the custom content that was delivered. This will show in the Best Buy Product sub-tab (the default page you'll be taken to). You can also see the content we have created for our standard DataSource by clicking on the Data Sheet sub-tab.

NOTE: Products will only show in the Catalog tab once we have received the content build request for them from Best Buy, regardless of whether content has been uploaded.

How do I add/delete users?

  •  The Master User is the responsible party to manage user access for the account. They can add and delete users as desired.

If you are not the Master User and do not know who is, and you wish to have someone added as a user, please contact our support.

If you are the Master User:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click on the Settings tab in the top navigation bar
  3. Click on User Accounts in the left hand navigation panel
To add a user, click the Add button and complete the form. Note: the user name must be unique and can not contain any spaces or characters (letters only). Hit the save button and an email will automatically be sent to the new user with their login credentials and instructions.

To delete a user, click the box next to their User ID and hit the delete button.

NOTE: Your account is set to have up to 5 users. If more are needed, please contact our support.

As the Master User you can also check/uncheck the boxes after each user's email address to control who is the Default Assignee for the account (the user that the 1WorldSync Request notifications are sent to), and which users are copied on the notifications.

How do I view the content that has been created for a SKU?

  •  Within the Catalog tab of your Best Buy PartnerAccess account, you can see the content that was created and delivered to Best Buy for SKUs with the status of "Submitted" by clicking on the Part Number. This will take you to the Best Buy Product Content page.

Note: Images uploaded directly to Best Buy for Core SKUs will not be displayed.

To see the content we have created for our DataSource offering (normalized content we deliver to our other channel partners) click on the Data Sheet sub-tab.

What happens if I don't have all the required content?

  • If you cannot provide us all of the required information, the SKU will go on hold and nothing will be delivered to Best Buy or appear on their website until all of the required content is received. To help expedite the process of getting your SKUs on Best Buy sites, please provide all of the available content at one time. Providing the information piece meal complicates the production process and could result in unnecessary delays.

When do images need to be uploaded directly to Best Buy?

  •  1WorldSync handles product specifications, product description, marketing content, warranty information and documentation (i.e. user manuals, etc.) for both Core and SDF SKUs. This content for all products should be uploaded in your Best Buy PartnerAccess account.

Images for SDF SKUs (on-line products shipped directly to the customer by a distributor or manufacturer) should be uploaded in your Best Buy PartnerAccess account as well.

Images for Core SKUs (products Best Buy stocks and fulfills for in-store purchases) need to be uploaded to Best Buy's Image Management System for ad creation and other purposes.

Why am I getting an error message when I click on the 1WorldSync Request link in the email notification I received?

  •  Usually this error occurs when a user is already logged in to one account and they are trying to access a 1WorldSync Request in another account.

Log out, close your browser, and clear your cache. Then when you log back in, make sure you are using the credentials for the account the 1WorldSync Request has been created in. The notification email should specify which account the 1WorldSync Request is for.

If you still have trouble accessing the 1WorldSync Request, please contact our support and provide specific details of the steps you are taking before you receive the error message, and what time it occurred. This will provide our support team the information they need to look at the logs and determine the cause so it can be fixed.

Why aren't my products showing in the Catalog tab?

  • Products will only show up in the Catalog tab of your Best Buy PartnerAccess account once we receive a content build request for the product(s) from Best Buy. Just because a product has been entered into PIM or has been assigned a Best Buy SKU number does not mean we have received the request. Best Buy manages the flow of when they send us the requests according to request load and when the product is scheduled to "go live".

Content can still be uploaded within your Best Buy PartnerAccess account even though we have not received a content build request for the product. Click here for information on How To Upload Content.

Why is content on Best Buy's product page different from what I submitted?

  •  Best Buy has contracted with 1WorldSync to produce customized product content according to their Style Guide formulas, rules, and requirements. Best Buy desires custom content because they consider it a key differentiator and a core competitive advantage.

Product specifications are taken "as provided" and normalized for consistency across all products in that category. Product description, marketing text and feature bullets are created based on Best Buy specified formulas and rules. Because of this, we can very rarely use the manufacturer's marketing content and preferred description verbatim.

The Style Guide also dictates the images. You can always submit a Manufacturer Claim in your PartnerAccess account requesting changes, and we will do all we can to accommodate them, but they may be declined in part or in whole if it goes against Best Buy's Style Guide requirements.

If you feel the content produced does not represent your product adequately, or could negatively impact sales, please contact your Best Buy Merchant.
