Trouble setting up new item

Trying to set up a new item and it says the Model GTIN provided cannot be one of the items in the hierarchy. It says to resubmit with a valid model GTIN but that is the GTIN of our product how could it not be valid?

After reviewing your items, we noticed that within the Kroger hierarchy section, you have “Model GTIN EXIST” marked as “YES” with the GTIN listed.

Since your item is NEW, a model GTIN cannot yet exist in the Kroger system.
