Unnecessary Nutrition Requirements for Units

Loading item information with 2 separate play lists (Mclane & Wakefern) for several of our Holiday items.  Just 1 item out of the entire list is looking for extensive Nutritional information that does NOT appear on our nutrition panel.  How do we publish the items with these incorrect hard errors?  Something to note, both items were published to these GLN accounts previously without this requirement.

Hello @Tkentosh it is nice to chat with you again.  Thanks for reaching out.  I took a look for you and see those errors.  I apologize for the sales kind of answer here but it is true that e-commerce and consumer need for tons of product info drives the GS1 standards org to continually improve and add new attributes and those can increase requirements, value, etc.  The attributes in those red errors are certainly required based on the playlist you have which is likely based on your trading partners or the nature of your product.  Hav you discussed these requirements with any of your trading partners?

Hello @Tkentosh ,

Pardon my butting in but we also publish to those customers and only publish around 18 nutrients required by USDA or we choose to send.  By any chance are you sending additional nutrient codes with zero values for quantity contained and/or DV%?  Once you fill in the nutrient code then other values related to it become required.  Please check if you have excess nutrient codes that don't need to be in the list.

Hi There!  I believe I know what happened, but was hoping there was a work around.  The items I am having issues with were actually set up manually with Wakefern's Data Sync team by our sales broker.  Most likely the form they filled out for Wakefern included these nutrition facts and instead of leaving them blank, they most likely added 0 in the measurements & percentages.  Since I am now topping them off in 1WS, I have to complete the balance of the nutrition facts even though we only ever provide the standard USDA requirements for confections.

Hi - thanks for your input.  I agree, since I realized these were set up by an outside source manually while working with the company's Data Sync team.  Since it is needed for other food sources, but not confections, I am now stuck having to work within the confines they set up to publish again this season.  Have a great day!

Hello,

I am also receiving a similar error. Has anyone had success with USDA relaxing this requirement?

For example: GTIN 10016000124995

I publish %DV for folate, but not the nutrient quantity contained, and am getting a sync error. We don't have that information to even provide and it's not NLR standard. How is everyone working around this? My publication is getting completely rejected by USDA.

Hello, @marisolburt, thank you for utilizing our customer community.

I am reviewing the content to see if I can pinpoint the root cause. I will advise the moment I have anything to share.

Thank you!

Hi Marisol,

I reviewed the Nutrient that you were having issues with. We can remove it or try to put a Nutrient Quantity that might work.
