Nutritionals

Good afternoon,

Can you please confirm if nutritionals ONLY need to be added at the unit level?

Or do they need to be added at every hierarchy?

And, is this the case across the board with all subscribers?

Thank you!

Suppliers might get back a CIC message that indicates some nutrient information is missing.

The Nutrient Basis Quantity Type Code that should be used is BY_SERVING, otherwise no nutrient content flows downstream in Kroger’s system.

You could remove it completely and make sure the item is not listed as a Consumer Unit. This might drop the requirement entirely, reply here if you do and get stuck. You will need to submit back to the Kroger after the information passes over.

Welcome back, A_FLOWER.  Typically you provide Nutritionals on the consumer unit but there are some recipients that request it on other levels as well.  Do you ask because you have a recipient asking for these to be populated on a level other than the consumer unit?

Thank you for your quick reply. No, I'm asking because I have several items with "Review" for Kroger stating I need to add Calories, Total Fat, Sodium, Total Carbs and Protein. I have all of these populated, but I was told to switch to 'By serving" from "By measure" so I've done that. And, resubmitted. But then I got to thinking that I was once told I only needed to enter nutritionals on the unit.

Also, if an item is already "Initial load" do I still need to resubmit to get the changes to flow through?

Ok, they are listed by serving.

I'll let you know if I need anymore help.

Hi! Coming back to this topic, I wanted to ask if you could share some examples of recipients expecting the nutritionals on higher levels of hierarchy. I'm wondering if there is anybody that needs it specifically on the pallet or case due to their digesting the data that way. I know we've been getting some strange CIC messages for Nutrient Basis Quantity from Sodexo and that was for all levels of the hierarchy which were specified in that CIC. I'm asking from a data clean up and strategy perspectives. Thanks in advance!

Hi @KarolinaSD , Welcome to the customer community. Thanks for reaching out. The nutritional information is normaly requried on the items marked as a consumer unit, but based on the retailer, some might request it on other levels like CA or PL. After an item is published, the Retailer will send back a CIC message asking us to add any needed attributes on the higher levels. We can also check and see if the retailer has a playlist in the Item Management and apply it on all levels, that will also prompt us the needed fields for that retailer.
