That would depend on the company you want to send the item to.
It can be up to a maximum of 200 characters and most companies won't have a minimum character limit.
Some companies have a landing page/implementation guide saying what they expect to receive for that field like for example Kroger Kroger PDP Guidelines - Quick Reference for Style Guide & More but for most it would be a case by case basis depending on what that specific recipient wants.
