Link that needs to be broken

I cloned an item that I shouldn't have, and it has been linked, but it really isn't. I need to delete this or break the link somehow.  It is not published; it is still in the Non-Published tab.  How do I change this? Delete it, if so, how do I delete it if it's not published?  Also, can I reuse the GTIN that I was using to create a non-linked item?

The item 00075175005402 is currently added in Item Management, however it is not linked nor published at the moment. The red color of the chain-like button or symbol to the right of the Item ID from your screenshot signifies there is currently no link created for the item. Had the color been green instead of red, then it would have meant the item was linked in a hierarchy.
