Kroger API Playlist Issue

Good morning team!

I have been noticing that a lot of our items automatically show the Kroger Playlist (even though I am updating items for other customers) and this is causing error messages due to specific attributes not being filled out.

I am trying to notice if the playlist is there, taking it off and saving before updating any items.

Is there any way to address this?

Thanks in advance!

@Val, thanks for the prompt response!

As per your suggestion, I have been taken off the information for the GTIN pallet and leaving the info for the non GTIN pallet, which causes error messages after saving the info.

I do believe that these attributes were migrated from VIP since they were not an issue before then.

The Catalog Price showing up to ALL is concerning since we do not want any other customers having this information, which is specifically for Kroger.

What would be the best course of action from now on...always take off the Kroger playlist before updating items?  What Kroger GLN should I use to republish items to them after addressing the many errors caused by updating items for other customers?

Thanks!

Thank you for the update, @nancyVigo.

Feel free to leave the Catalog Price field blank unless you use that information for other retailers, in which case you can add the specific retailer in the Recipient field in Item Management and them alone with receive the attribute.

Kroger is using the Initial Corporate Avg List Cost and the Dispatch Unit Initial List Cost for their own systems, and these fields will not flow through to other retailers, so only Kroger receives that information. Also, these fields need to be used only once you start publishing your items through the API process for Kroger and are no longer using Product Introduction at all. Using both the Kroger Playlist in IM and Product Introduction can lead to syncing issues.

When it comes to which GLNs to use, for Product Introduction it will be GLN 0011110000019 for The Kroger Company. For the API process, you publish the items to GLN 0838016000123 - Kroger API Certification Queue for the information to be reviewed first, and then, once it receives a Synchronized response, it will be automatically published to GLN 0838016000116 - Certified Items for Kroger API for either an IMF, if needed, to be generated for you, or for the updated information to flow through to Kroger.

Thank you.

@Val, I haven't used PI since our items were migrated from VIP.  I have checked items in VIP and they are currently Read Only.

I am sorry for all the confusion, I just want to make sure that our customers have the correct information.

Since I haven't been asked to enter/publish any new items to Kroger since the migration, I have not used their new GLNS.

Since updating items is causing error messages with the information that migrated from VIP, should I just take off the Kroger playlist for now every time I am updating an item?

Also, to address the current error messages caused by updating these items, should I use the old GTIN to republish or just ignore them?

Again, I am sorry for all the confusion.

Thank you for the follow-up, @nancyVigo.

Once your items are migrated into Item Management, you no longer need to use the GLN 0011110000019 for The Kroger Company (so the Product Introduction one). You can also ignore any messages or responses received in Item Management from this GLN. If you need to update item information to Kroger from now on, you would only be using the API GLNs, please, and ignoring the GLN 0011110000019 under The Kroger Company. We also recommend withdrawing publications to GLN 0011110000019 under The Kroger Company for any items you update through the API GLNs. This is because Kroger will then have the same item received at the same time from 2 different sources. While in itself it is not an issue, you may miss review messages or IMFs as these may go into Product Introduction instead of Item Management if same GTIN is published to both PI and API GLNs.

Just removing a playlist will not actually remove item information, but only not make it visible anymore. So this will most likely not help. Can you please provide a GTIN you are experiencing issues for other retailers so that we may assist further?

The new process can seem overwhelming and there is a learning curve for everyone involved, including us, but once you get accustomed to it, it is not that different from Product Introduction and it is, in a few different ways, more streamlined and easier to follow.

Thank you.

@Val, thanks for the clarification.

Please, find attached a screen shot showing two of a number of items with error messages after any item updates with the visible Kroger Playlist.

Hello @nancyVigo and thank you for the follow-up and additional details.

You can now ignore any Review messages received from the Kroger Product Introduction/ VIP GLN (GLN 0011110000019 under The Kroger Company) as long as your company's items have been migrated from VIP to IM. Any item publications or updates would now go through the Kroger API GLNs, please.

This is because item information should not be sent through both VIP and API to Kroger at the same time, as the same item may be received with (slightly) different information from 2 different sources. Once you start using the API process and publish an item to the new Kroger GLNs, you can withdraw that publication from GLN 0011110000019 for The Kroger Company, please.

I hope this helps. We are here if needed, please. Thank you! ðŸ™‚
