Kroger API Playlist Issue

Good morning team!

I have been noticing that a lot of our items automatically show the Kroger Playlist (even though I am updating items for other customers) and this is causing error messages due to specific attributes not being filled out.

I am trying to notice if the playlist is there, taking it off and saving before updating any items.

Is there any way to address this?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the swift reply, @nancyVigo.

Yes, please, if you do not intend to publish those items to Kroger in the (very) short term, feel free to remove the Kroger playlist.

Playlists re avery useful to point out attribute requirements for retailers, but will also cause Item Management to check for those attribute requirements even if the item is not published to the retailer but the playlist is added, therefore more requirements for you and your colleagues to have to fulfil.

When you will need to send the item data to Kroger, you can add the playlist back on all hierarchy levels, solve any warnings and errors and publish as needed, please.

Thank you.

Hello @nancyVigo, its great chatting with you again.

Removing the Kroger playlist from Item Management is fine when needing to update items for other retailers and when the Kroger requirements cause additional errors/warnings to come up.

Kroger specific attributes will not be sent to other retaielrs and you can check which ones are Kroger specific by using the Item Attribute Sets search in Item Management - if they have the "kro" abbreviation at the beginning, it means they are only sent to Kroger. Here is an example:

Once you need to update the items in the future for Kroger, you can add the playlists back on all hierarchy levels and solve any Warnings and Errors that come up, please.

I hope this helps. We are here in case anything else is needed, please. Thank you.

Hello @nancyVigothanks for continuing the use the community. Happy Friday!
If the items you are working on are not yet needed by or published to Kroger through the API process, you can then remove the Kroger playlist and update the items as intended for all other retailers.

If these items are also currently published to Kroger through the API process, we then recommend keeping the Kroger playlist as well and solving the errors/warnings. Quite a few of the Kroger Poduct Introduction attributes were added in item Management for Kroger visibility only, so most attributes should not affect publications to other retailers.

If you come across errors or warnings you are unsure how to resolve or what is generating them, please let us know. Thanks.

@Val, thank you for the prompt response!

Some of the items showing the Kroger playlist have not been published to Kroger.  I guess that is why I was wondering the reason for the playlist to automatically appear.

For those particular items (not published to Kroger previously)...would it be okay to just get rid of the playlist?

@Val, good morning!

I was updating a few items yesterday, which needed to be published asap and noticed that the Kroger playlist was already in place.  I assumed that these particular items had been previously published to Kroger in VIP and got migrated to 1WS.

As I was trying to save the updates, I received a number of error messages pertaining to Kroger.  Since there were quite a few, I chose to delete the Kroger playlist so that I could publish the items to the other customer.

I am planning to go back to those items, add the Kroger playlist again and deal with those error messages.

I would just like to make sure that this action will not affect other publications.  Also, whenever I do have to publish an item to Kroger API and fill out all the required information (including prices), will this be visible to other customers or just to Kroger?

I just need to make sure that other companies do not receive the information that it's only meant to be seen by Kroger.

Thanks!
