Error message: 326: grossWeight of the GTIN MUST BE greater than 96% of the sum of that GTIN''s pack

I am getting the following error message on 50027000819826 and cannot seem to find the reason for the error.

326: If specialItemCode does not equal DYNAMIC_ASSORTMENT, then the grossWeight of the GTIN MUST BE greater than 96% of the sum of that GTIN''s packagingWeight plus the sum of the grossWeight of all next lower-level child items (whether or not packagingWeight is populated in the child items). The formula is: [Parent GTIN Gross Weight] > 96% * ((sum of [Parent GTIN Packaging Weight]) + ([Parent GTIN Qty of Next Lower Level] * [Child GTIN Gross Weight]))

I have checked the weights per Pallet, case and EA and they all line up to the correct calculated weights.  This error message is absolutely confusing and difficult to resolve.  Can someone please assist with this?

Hello @ we took a closer look into this and have not been able to replicate the error you are reporting.  Did you already correct it?

If not, can you please double check the GTINs because what you provided is validating. We were able to validate and save in prod with no issues. We exported the hierarchy and added to our own pre-prod and was able to publish with no errors.

The most common attribute value that causes this issue when you Gross Weight calculations are correct is when customers populate the Packaging Weight. You do not have any values for that attribute at this time.

Thank you for looking into it for me so quickly.  I did not attempt to publish as it was an old error and I had not made any changes as I was only just trying to figure out where the issue was.

thanks @foodingredients but I apologize as I am not sure if your response is saying yes it is resolved or if you are looking into the GTINs provided for confirmation.  I just want to make sure you are getting the support you need.

Sorry yes this is resolved.  I went and also attempted to publish as you indicated and it is no longer showing on the list of issues.

Thanks Again!

Thats good news

I am getting this same error for gtin 10070919025620 "Gross Weight (grossWeight) of the GTIN MUST BE greater than 96% of the sum of that GTIN’s packagingWeight if available, plus the sum of the Gross Weight (grossWeight) of all next lower-level child items. NOTE: This allowance of 4% in the sum, is due to some configurations where part of the packaging of child items is removed, such as in displays." But none of the weight is wrong.

Hello @mvinkler it is good to chat with you again.  The issue here is the Gross Weight for your Case must at a minimum be the same as the weight of your child's item multiplied by the number of items.  In this instance, you indicate your Each is 4.3 pounds but your Case is entered as 8.61 pounds.  If you have 4 eaches in your case, then your case must weigh at least 4 x 4.3 = 17.2 pounds.

GLN 0070919000002

Case GTIN 10070919025620 Gross Weight = 8.61 pounds (contains 4 eaches)

Each GTIN 00070919025623 Gross Weight = 4.3 pounds

Thank you! I corrected my mistake
