FUSE will allow you to remove images only if they were added as External File Links. Otherwise, the images need to be removed or updated in Item Management directly.
You can delete multiple or all images at once by going to the Image Metadata Studio, selecting either all images as in the screenshot below or just the ones you want deleted, and then you can click on Remove - Delete Image:
Please be careful when using this option as you can also potentially delete all images added for all your products at once.
