Error Message while trying to delete External File Links (not allowed to save)

Good morning team!

I have come across an issue that I had not had before.  I am trying to delete a couple of EFLs and have taken off info on every field (like I've done before), but it's still giving me an error message, as seen in attached screen shot.

Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated!

Do we want to remove all images from the GTIN or just the two External Files?

@jcharles, I tried updating another item and received the same error message.  I noticed that the layout changed in 1WS and was wondering if there is an extra step to delete EFLs that I'm not seeing.

I was not able to get the item to let the EFL be deleted without the error. I did try to update the GTIN using a FUSE template and the error persisted. I will escalate this and add you as the reporter to track the progress. I appreciate your patience while we determine the root cause.

@jcharles, good afternoon!  It occurred to me that the date in the EFLs area is not showing up like before.  I used to delete all the information, including the date.

Could the date be somewhere in the backend that is not allowing us to completely erase the EFLs?

Just a thought. 😉

I think I figured out a way to permanently delete the EFLs.  Since the error message was the need to enter the "Digital Asset Type Code," I filled this area out with "Product Image" and enter today's date under the "Digital Asset End Date/Time." It seems that this worked as it allowed me to enter a DAM image and saved the item.  🙂
