Can someone help me understand GDSN versus non-GDSN supplier means and what the difference is?
Hello, and thank you for reaching out again. I am hoping you saw my response earlier today to your previous post/question. GDSN stands for Global Data Synchronization Network. Using it allows you and your trading partners to share information in a standardized way in accordance with GS1 standards (the org from which you purchased the company prefix that you use to create barcodes."
GDSN suppliers and data recipients communicate using their data pool, which 1WorldSync is. As part of our data pool, you can synchronize your product content with any trading partner around the world who also uses a data pool. A few recipients, like Kroger and Albertsons, also require the use of the PI Portal so they can collect additional product details specific to their own needs and processes. These two companies offer a way for their trading partners to submit product content with the use of a GDSN data pool transaction which is called non-GDSN.
Please advise if there are still workshops or video training for Kroger.

Will the non-GDSN option be deprecated at some point in the future, or will it always be an option?
